MEMOQ TREND REPORT 2018: THE READER STRIKES BACK!
Earlier this year we published the memoQ Trend Report 2018, the first project of its kind for memoQ. We discussed and debated the most significant changes in the translation technology industry, from those powered by artificial intelligence and machine translation, to others linked to cloud-based services or user-experience in translation tools.
If you had a chance to look at the report, or at least skim through it, you should remember that every section included polls. From the very beginning, we wanted to offer our readers the possibility to become part of the project and join us by taking a stance for or against the trends presented. But making the trend report an interactive piece was not our only intention, we also wanted to gain valuable insights for ourselves. This way, we could learn how many of you shared our perceptions regarding new developments in the industry and how accurate our perceptions had been.
Almost two months have passed since its launch on January 18, and more than 5000 readers from over 120 countries have engaged with the memoQ Trend Report. If anything, the trend report has invited everyone to make a pause to think about the events, technologies and business models that transform the environment we work in.
The infographic below summarizes the view of our readers.
